The Conference on Plant Biology and the 18th Annual Student Days took place this year in Bratislava, from August 24 to 28, 2025.
During the Student Days, our PhD students presented the results of their research in the form of presentations. Natálie Závorková once again received an award for one of the best presentations. Pavel Hladík gave presentation as invited speaker as part of the CSEPB Award competition.
- Pavel Hladík: Auxin quantification: From whole organs to single cells
- Petra Bublavá: Interaction of light and ABA signaling in plant responses to salt stress
- Kateřina Cermanová: Polyamine and ethylene biosynthesis dynamics in Arabidopsis thaliana and Solanum lycopersicum
- Tereza Miksteinová: The role of gibberellins in the response to osmotic stress
- Natálie Závorková: Interaction between blue light and abscisic acid in Arabidopsis thaliana under drought stress

During the subsequent Conference on Plant Biology, in the session “Advances in Microscopy and Analytical Techniques in Plants,” lectures were given by Aleš Pěnčík, Chao Zang, and Michal Karady.
- Aleš Pěnčík: Comparative metabolite profiling approach reveals the complexity of auxin metabolism across plant species
- Chao Zhang: In situ comparison of abiotic and biotic induced phytohormone changes using mass spectrometry imaging
- Michal Karady: Advancing plant metabolic research – validated approach for simultaneous ethylene, phytohormone and polyamine detection
Representing the Laboratory of Growth Regulators in the form of poster presentations were: Kateřina Cermanová, Karel Doležal, Tereza Miksteinová, Ondřej Novák, Jana Oklešťková Lenka Plačková, Jan Strnad a Natálie Závorková.
