Fluorescence Microspectroscopy Workshop in Wageningen

PhD student Anita Ament and postdoctoral researcher Jovanka Vladejić attended the FEBS Fluorescence Microspectroscopy Workshop: Functional Imaging of Biological Systems, held from May 18–24, 2025 in Wageningen, the Netherlands. Both researchers received financial support from the FEBS Youth Travel Funds, which enabled their participation in this international educational event.

The workshop offered hands-on training and lectures focused on cutting-edge fluorescence imaging techniques, including multiphoton microscopy, photoactivatable imaging, single-particle tracking, total internal reflection fluorescence (TIRF) microscopy, super-resolution and correlative microscopy, Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET), fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM), fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS), and fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP).

This experience provided them with valuable insight into advanced fluorescence applications in biological research and strengthened their technical skills in functional imaging.
