The 26th edition of the School of Mass Spectrometry<\/strong> took place on 8.-12.9.2025, continuing the long-standing tradition of sharing knowledge and innovations in the field of mass spectrometry. This year\u2019s program was diverse, covering a wide range of topics including food analysis, toxicology, pharmaceutical and clinical applications<\/strong>, as well as applications in agriculture and environmental sciences<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each day began with the session \u201cFundamentals of Mass Spectrometry for Beginners and Advanced Users\u201d<\/strong>, offering participants a comprehensive overview of theoretical principles and current trends in the discipline. The popular Sunday and Monday workshops<\/strong> focused on modern techniques in mass spectrometry imaging, integration with multi-omics approaches<\/strong>, and the use of artificial intelligence and biostatistics in MS data analysis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The practical short courses<\/strong> addressed real-world challenges, such as troubleshooting in LC-MS<\/strong> and the application of modern chromatographic methods in combination with mass spectrometry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of Monday\u2019s program, the traditional Vladim\u00edr Hanu\u0161 Award<\/strong> for the best published work in the field of mass spectrometry was presented. On Thursday, the spotlight turned to young researchers during the \u201cYouth Forward!\u201d<\/strong> session, giving emerging scientists the opportunity to showcase their work and exchange ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
