The Laboratory of Growth Regulators, under the auspices of the Institute of Experimental Botany (IEB)<\/strong>, organized its traditional Young Researchers\u2019 Retreat (YRM IEB 2026) this week, this time held in Hrub\u00e1 Voda near Olomouc. The main aim of the event is to foster collaboration, share ideas, and strengthen connections between research groups across the Prague and Olomouc sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program featured a number of excellent presentations from all participants. The three best presentations were awarded small prizes\u2014congratulations to the winners: Pavel Krupa\u0159, Jan Mart\u00ednek, and David U\u0161\u00e1k.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Invited speakers offered insightful perspectives on work\u2013life balance in talks by Luk\u00e1\u0161 Synek, Jakub Hajn\u00fd, and Ond\u0159ej Nov\u00e1k. In the following session, participants gained a deeper understanding of what truly matters when preparing grant proposals and how to approach scientific career development, thanks to presentations by Eva Benkov\u00e1 and Zuzana Hroncov\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
