From 15 to 17 September 2026<\/strong>, the 26th International Isoprenoid Conference<\/strong> took place at Novotn\u00e9ho l\u00e1vka in Prague. This traditional scientific meeting brings together researchers working on isoprenoids and other natural products. The Laboratory of Growth Regulators<\/strong> was represented by Prof. Miroslav Strnad, Miroslav Kvasnica, Ph.D., and Jana Okle\u0161\u0165kov\u00e1, Ph.D.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miroslav Strnad<\/strong>, who also served as a member of both the Scientific (Programme) Committee and the Local Organizing Committee, gave a lecture entitled \u201cPlant hormone brassinosteroid \u2013 an amazing world of biological and medicinal activities\u201d<\/strong>. Miroslav Kvasnica<\/strong> presented \u201cStructural determinants of brassinosteroid recognition by BRI1-family receptor kinases\u201d<\/strong>, while Jana Okle\u0161\u0165kov\u00e1<\/strong> presented her research in a poster entitled \u201cComparative profiling of brassinosteroids in representative land plant lineages\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All three contributions focused on brassinosteroids<\/strong>, plant steroid hormones that have long been a major research topic in our laboratory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s conference also marked a special anniversary. The history of the Isoprenoid Conference dates back to 1966<\/strong>, making the Prague meeting a celebration of 60 years of this scientific tradition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
