- development of new (un)labelled hormones,
- development of antibodies and new immunodiagnostic tools and kits,
- isolation and identification of new natural substances with significant biological activities,
- study of molecular, cellular and in vivo effects of natural substances,
- phytohormone biosynsthesis, metabolism and signalling,
- genes regulating the biosynthesis, metabolism and transduction of hormones, their cloning and regulation of their expression in cells and organisms.

1999 – prize of the city of Olomouc for the development and research of anticancer drugs, honorary citizen of the city of Olomouc
