Research focus

We investigate how plants orchestrate the flow of sugar—the fuel of development. By dissecting the CANAR signalling pathway with advanced genetics, imaging, biophysics, and multi-omics, we reveal how sugar transport is regulated and convert this knowledge into synthetic tools that redirect sugars exactly where we want them. We prototype in Arabidopsis and deploy in crops like tomato and potato.
