Research interests
- Chemistry of natural compounds, especially isoprenoids (e. g. triterpenoids, steroids).
- Synthesis of natural brassinosteroids and their biosynthetic precursors for biological and analytical applications; synthesis of brassinosteroid derivatives for bioorthogonal chemistry.
- Synthesis of novel steroids for medicinal applications (anticancer, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective activities).
- Synthesis of novel purine derivatives and screening of their neuroprotective activity
