Research interests

  • Cytokinin receptors: Elucidating the compartmentalization of cytokinin perception within the cell, examining how the transport of cytokinins and their receptors influences hormone homeostasis.
  • Cytokinin transport: Characterizing new mechanisms of intracellular cytokinin transport, as well as long-distance transport. Investigating the ENT family of transporters and their functional relevance with other cytokinin transporter families.
  • Transcriptomic studies: Conducted in both plants and fungi to decipher the molecular mode of action of cytokinins and their derivatives. Additionally, elucidating cross-talk mechanisms with other phytohormones to understand stress-related responses.
  • Applying fluorescence labeling: As a tool for visualizing the ligand-binding domain of cytokinin receptors and other interacting proteins.
