Research focus

  • Natural product synthesis and (plant) biosynthesis determination with a primary focus on plant secondary metabolites (phenylpropanoids, macrolides) and plant hormones (gibberellins)
  • Development of synthetic methods and reagents for diversity-oriented chemistry and organocatalysis (pluripotent reagents, organocatalyst development)
  • Bio-inspired, non-covalent interaction-driven stereoselective connective transformation development
